Natural health is a hot topic. The USA is the biggest market in the world for organic food, natural personal care and natural textiles. Last year the growing of the ecological market was estimated to have expanded by 17%, despite the economic crisis. This is why Biofach, the pioneers of the organic movement, organized a world organic trade fair. From September 23rd to the 26th, Boston got a taste of the latest natural, organic, green, non GMO, local, recyclable and fair trade products that vendors from the U.S. and around the world have to offer at the Organic and Natural Product Expo, This event is the largest natural product trade show in the East Coast, with over 1,700 booths and more than 20.000 attendees. LatinLink was there, covering the event for our ecological news magazine in Venezuela called, “Actua, es el momento” (Act, this is the moment), and for our TV show, “Semillas y Senderos” (Seeds and Footpaths), an educational/cultural program that provides information for farmers throughout South America. We we’re also delighted to visit two of STA’s clients,Bigelow Tea, with its highly successful campaign featuring Fenway’s “Green Monster” created in parnership with Tracey Edwards. Other STA clients visited were Marcal Paper Co. whose latest TV commercial “Small Steps” was produced by STA this past March, and Tom’s of Maine, a long-time web-based video client of STA.
