Niagara Falls was the location for the fifteen advertising agencies of the Mcan group to conduct a summit concerning social media for advertisers and to get a handle on the trends in marketing strategies, technologies, and ideas that will best help their clients in the coming years. Topics also included agency compensation models and digital creative at the three day conference held on September 17-19. David Berkowitz, Senior Director of Emerging Media & Innovation for agency 360i gave a three-hour presentation about his experiences providing social media for clients including Adidas, American Express, Paramount and Comcast, and covered everything from Facebook and iPhone apps, to Twitter and best blogging practices. Also presenting was Greg Stielstra, VP/Director of Integrated Delivery for the Buntin Group, and the author of “Pyromarketing.” Greg talked about the revolutionary changes to media and marketing brought about by the digital revolution. Sean came home loaded with a “Tweetful” of new strategies and information to help STA’s clients adapt and communicate in the ever-changing world of social media and emerging technology.
